A3 Thinking Problem/Opportunity Solving
Presented by Jody Saffert
Systematic performance improvement is essential when working within a complex, interconnected structure such as healthcare, or any work environment. A method of problem solving, known in the Lean World as ‘A3 Thinking’ provides a mechanism by which to systematically and succinctly
- Rally an interdisciplinary team in identifying a need
- Imagining a future state
- Identify suspected root causes
- Create new possibilities
- Holding each other to account on delivering the intended results
- While learning along the way
The ODN’s Global OD Practice Framework, reviewed earlier this year, calls for OD Practitioners to be systems change experts, efficient designers, business advisors, a credible strategist and an informed consultant. Come learn a simple, yet powerful tool and methodology that brings much of this framework together, while developing your problem solving skills. I suspect you’ll have a little fun too!
By the end of our time together you will,
- Understand the A3 Thinking Process,
- Identify how elements of ODN’s Global OD Practice Framework fits with this approach,
- Recognize Design Thinking features and other OD essential features, and
- Practice using the methodology in your personal and professional life
